Visa Overview

The Greece Short-Term Schengen Visa (Type C) allows Filipino travelers to visit Greece and other Schengen member states for tourism, business, family visits, and other short-stay purposes. This visa grants access to all 26 Schengen countries.

Important: The stay in Greece should be the longest or equal to other Schengen Member States. In case of equal duration stay, Greece should be the first State of entry.

Visa Details

Visa Type: Short-Term Schengen Visa (Type C)
Purpose of Travel: Tourism
Validity: Up to 90 days within 180-day period

Application Form

  • Filled in Latin characters (English language)
  • Signed by applicant personally in front of visa officer
  • Details and signature must match passport exactly
  • For minors: Signed by both parents/legal guardians

Photo Requirements (ICAO Specifications)

  • Size: 3.5 x 4 cm (approx. 1.2 x 1.6 inch)
  • Recent – not older than 6 months
  • White or off-white background
  • Color, facing forward, non-smiling
  • Forehead and ears visible, no heavy jewelry
  • No sunglasses, hat/cap (unless religious/ethnic reasons)
  • Printed on normal photographic paper, preferably not glossy
  • Signed passport, valid for at least 6 months after departure from Schengen area
  • Must contain at least 2 empty pages
  • Must be issued within the last 10 years on the day of leaving Schengen area
  • Photocopy of biometric data page (and signature page if separate)
  • Photocopy of visas and immigration stamps from current passport
  • Old passports with previous Schengen, Australia, Canada, USA, UK visas (photocopies)
For Non-Filipino Citizens: Original and copy of Alien Certificate Registration (ACR) with permanent status, valid for at least 3 months beyond departure date.
  • Application form signed by both parents or legal guardians in front of officer
  • Both parents’ original passports and copies
  • PSA Birth Certificate (original)
  • Notarized Affidavit of Support and Consent signed by both parents (issued within 1 month)
  • If traveling alone: DSWD clearance and valid passport copy
Exception: If father’s name does not appear on PSA birth certificate, no affidavit from father is required.
  • Must show applicant’s full name
  • Valid for all Schengen States
  • Cover entire period of intended stay
  • Minimum coverage of €30,000
  • Coverage for repatriation, urgent medical, emergency hospital, and death
  • CASHLESS SETTLEMENTS only – reimbursement-based policies NOT accepted

Proof of Financial Means

  • Original bank certificate from commercial bank with 6-month statements
  • Bank certification issued 1 week prior to application date
  • Business/savings accounts may be submitted in addition

If Sponsored

  • Original notarized Affidavit of Support (issued within 1 month)
  • Sponsor’s valid passport copy
  • Sponsor’s bank certificate with 6-month statements (issued within 1 week)
  • Proof of relationship (PSA)

Proof of Ties in the Philippines

  • Social security contributions (if applicable)
  • Real estate property titles, car registration
  • PSA birth certificate of children or marriage certificate

For Employees

  • Original Certificate of Employment (not older than 1 month)
  • Original Employment Letter addressed to Embassy of Greece in Manila with HR stamp
  • Copy of recent Individual Income Tax Return (ITR)

For Self-Employed / Business Owners

  • DTI/SEC Business Registration
  • Latest GIS (for corporate business)
  • Updated Mayor’s Permit
  • Business Financial Statement (at least 6 months)
  • Individual Income Tax Return (ITR)
  • Certificate of Registration (COR)

For Students

  • School Certification + Student ID
  • If traveling during academic year: Letter from school addressed to Embassy of Greece
  • Detailed Day-to-Day Itinerary – For entire stay with destinations and dates
  • Confirmed Flight Booking – With travel dates and booking reference showing entry/exit from Schengen
  • Interstate Booking – If traveling to other Schengen states

Hotel / Holiday Home

  • Confirmed booking with applicant’s name, arrival/departure dates
  • Hotel address and contact details clearly stated
  • If name not on reservation: joint travel cover letter + passport copy of person on reservation

For Cruise

Full itinerary with passenger details from the cruise company

For Yacht / Sailing

Letter from sailing company/skipper with daily itinerary, yacht registration, and skipper’s passport copy

  • If Single: PSA Birth Certificate
  • If Married: PSA Birth Certificate + Marriage Certificate
  • If Widowed: PSA Birth Certificate + Marriage Certificate + Death Certificate of spouse
  • Traveling with spouse: PSA Marriage Contract
  • Traveling with children: PSA Birth Certificates of children
  1. Determine visa type – Confirm you need a Short-Term Schengen visa
  2. Schedule appointment – Fill up application form, submit passport bio page copy, pay visa fee
  3. Prepare requirements – Submit documents at least 2 weeks before appointment
  4. Visit Visa Application Center – Provide biometrics
  5. Wait for processing – 1-2 weeks (5-10 working days)
