Visa Overview

The UK Standard Visitor Visa allows Filipino travelers to visit the United Kingdom for tourism, business meetings, visiting family and friends, or other short-term purposes.

Application Form & Photos

Completed Visa Application Form
2 pcs passport-sized photos (35mm x 45mm, white background)
Present, same image and likeness

Passport Requirements

Valid passport with 6 months validity from end of intended stay
Must contain 2 empty pages
Latest 2 old passports
Photocopy of bio page, previous visas and immigration stamps

Proof of Financial Means

Original Personal Bank Certificate issued by commercial bank
Personal bank statements covering at least 6 months
Bank certification must be issued within the month of application
Business/saving accounts can be submitted in addition

If Sponsored

Original and notarized Affidavit of Support (issued 1 month prior)
Copy of sponsor’s valid passport (including signature page)
Sponsor’s original bank certificate with 6-month statements
PSA proof of relationship with applicant
Proof of sponsor’s income

For Employees

Original Certificate of Employment (not older than 1 month)
Leave approval letter addressed to British Embassy in Manila
Copy of recent Income Tax Return (ITR)

For Self-Employed / Business Owner

DTI/SEC Business Registration
Latest GIS (for corporate business)
Updated Mayor’s Permit
Business Financial Statement (last 6 months)
Copy of recent ITR
Certificate of Registration (COR)

For Students

School Certification + Copy of Student ID
If traveling during school year: Letter from school addressed to British Embassy authorizing absence

Travel Arrangements

Detailed day-to-day itinerary for entire stay
Confirmed Flight Booking
Travel Health Insurance (optional but recommended)

Accommodations

For Tourists:
Confirmed Hotel Reservations for entire stay in UK

If Invited by Family/Friend:
Invitation letter from host in UK must include:

Host’s full details (name, address, status)
Visitor’s details (name, DOB, passport number, relationship)
Specific travel dates and purpose of visit
Accommodation arrangements
Confirmation of financial support if host is covering expenses
Host’s signatur

Supporting Documents:

Copy of host’s passport and visa/residence permit
Proof of address (utility bill, tenancy agreement)
If sponsoring: evidence of financial stability (bank statements, pay slips)

Identity / Marital Status

If Single: PSA Birth Certificate
If Married: PSA Birth Certificate + Marriage Certificate
If Widowed: PSA Birth Certificate + Marriage Certificate + Death Certificate of spouse

Document Submission Guidelies

All documents must be A4 size
Photocopies must be clear and legible
Documents smaller/larger than A4 must be photocopied onto A4
Remove all clips, pins, or staples before submission
Torn, crumpled, or heavily creased documents must be photocopied
Documents should NOT be laminated
