Trip itinerary

Our first stop is Cambridge. We will explore the famous colleges, then we can enjoy punting along the river Enjoy the scenic view of Chatsworth, home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. Explore the magnificent building of Chatsworth House. Head out into the spectacular gardens, wander the miles of pathways, Visit the iconic Cascade Fountain, and then get lost in the hedge maze. Proceed to walled City of York with its huge 13th-century Gothic cathedral York Minster. Overnight in York.

Discover the magnificent Durham Cathedral which dates from 1093 AD and is world renowned for being one of the finest pieces of Norman architecture in the world. Across the courtyard from the cathedral is Durham castle and as they both are UNESCO World Heritage monuments, the iconic cathedral was a filming location for Avengers Infinity war, Hogwarts in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Your 2nd stop of the day is the iconic Hadrian’s Wall. Built by hand in 122 AD, its creation is extremely significant in the history of Great Britain, and it is one of the most visited cultural landmarks in the UK. Not too far away lies the border town of Jedburgh. Famed for its links to royalty and historical warfare. Overnight in Edinburgh.

Explore central Edinburgh, starting in the 200-year-old “New Town” with planned streets and elegant Georgian houses where many famous writers and inventors lived. See the Royal Mile with its narrow medieval houses, then tour Edinburgh Castle to see the Crown Jewels of Scotland and the Stone of Destiny. Views of the elegant Palace of Holyrood house, in the shadow of Arthur’s Seat, and the Scottish Parliament feature on your sightseeing tour with a Local Specialist. Admire the elegant Georgian architecture in the New Town and amble through the hidden passages of the Old Town before enjoying an evening at leisure. Overnight in Edinburgh.

Visit Blair Athol Distillery stands at the gateway to the Scottish Highlands the source of water flows through the grounds from the slopes of Ben Vrackie, . then we continue our journey to Culloden Battlefield, explore the site where the Jacobites were defeated and revisit that fateful day in April 1746. Next stop is Urquhart Castle situated on the bank of Loch Ness in the Highlands of Scotland, home of the famous Loch Ness Monster. Overnight in Fort Augustus.

You are now heading to Glenfinnan Catch a glimpse of the Hogwarts Express seen in the Harry Potter movies. While in Glencoe, set in one of the most stunningly beautiful yet hauntingly emotive areas Glencoe is well known for the Massacre of the MacDonald Clan in 1692. Experience the Mountains, Lochs, and Glens of the beautiful Trossachs, and see Loch Lomond, considered by many to be the bonniest in Scotland. No trip to this village would be complete without a visit to the Gretna Green Famous Blacksmith Shop. It’s the site where couples have been coming to marry since the 1750s to take advantage of Scotland’s lenient marriage laws. Our second stop is Ullswater ‘Steamers’ England’s most beautiful lake. Cruises connect to some of the most famous and iconic walking routes in the UNESCO World Heitage site. Enjoy a nice lunch by the lake at Windermere England’s largest lake, We’ll then travel north to Liverpool, a famous British port city with a rich history. Overnight in Liverpool.

Leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind and explore North Wales for the day. With a drive through stunning landscapes and picturesque villages, you’ll see the beauty of North Wales in all its splendour.

Leaving Liverpool behind, we slowly navigate ourselves through llandudno, onto the promenade before visiting happy valley. A wonderful setting which has a close connection to the famous Alice In Wonderland.

We delve into Noth Wales's ancient past visiting the stone circles monument at happy valley, viewing the victorian pier and view in the backdrop.

The spectacular drive of the Great Orme marine drive, the longest of its kind in Great Britain. We will see the famous Kashmiri goats, possibly the local nesting seals in the beach, the limestone caves, and the wildlife within the Orme, and its stunning scenery, before taking in the views of the isle of Anglesey and Snowdon.

We stop at the majestic medieval castle town of Conwy. Enjoy many photo opportunities as this village is quite simply breathtaking. stop here where you can snap shots of the beautiful old castle and the city castle walls and estuary. Some may choose to spend their time visiting the oldest Elizabethan house in the UK, known as Plas Mawr. A stunning example of wealth from yesteryear. Or use the time to wonder this great castle town.

A wonderful gem set upon the bank of the estuary and part of the castle walls is great Britain's smallest house. With arms outstretched, you can touch either side. Unbelievably, a 6'3 large local fisherman lived in this tiny house with his partner for many years.

This iconic structure revolutionized modern engineering, as it is the world first ever build and designed suspension bridge by Sir Thomas Telford, who build the bridge in 1819 to connect the village of Conwy with the opposite side of the estuary.

After a roam around the town, we’ll head off to explore the incredible Snowdonia National Park, stopping at different points they’ll be plenty of opportunities for photo stops and for you to really enjoy this beautiful national park. We stop off at the majestic location of Tu-Hwnt-I'r Bont, the second most photographed and painted image in Snowdonia! Set next to river with the iconic bridge. Discover the dramatic and beautifully captivating Swallow Falls and marvel the picturesque village of betws Y Coed. Quirky and unique is the only way to describe our next visit. Known as the Ugly House, we stop here to learn of its history and how it came to be.

Afterwards we’ll head to Llanberis Lake Railway, where you can sit and relax and enjoy the views along llyn Peris in the heart of Snowdonia. (Please note the train ride is only included in March-November).

Heading to Pontcysyllte Aqueduct UNESCO has described this world heritage site as ‘a masterpiece of creative genius’. The first 11 miles of the Llangollen Canal is an outstanding piece of industrial and engineering heritage comprising of embankments, tunnels, viaducts and aqueducts, including the stunning Pontcysyllte Aqueduct itself and 31 other listed structures.

Next you’re off to one of England’s most historic towns, famous for its black and white buildings including the Rows, medieval two-tier buildings above street level with covered walkways which today house many of Chester's shopping galleries.

We’ll then be heading back towards Liverpool and back to reality after a day of discovering this incredible part of the world.

Visit the house where William Shakespeare was born, grew up and played. He ate meals in the hall and he slept and dreamt in these rooms. Shakespeare also spent the first five years of married life in this house with his new wife, Anne Hathaway. Our next stop is Gloucester cathedral most famous film location, the cloisters were transformed into the hallowed corridors of Hogwarts for the filming of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, The Chamber of Secrets and The Half Blood Prince. After that we will travel to Caerphilly. you'll have the chance to see a medieval castle before we head onwards to the Welsh capital of Cardiff. Overnight in Cardiff Wales.

First stop for the day is Bath – a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with gorgeous Georgian architecture and the famous Roman Baths, Bath Abbey & romantic Pulteney Bridge that gave the city its name. Next stop is the Castle Combe, England prettiest village, the village is been used as a backdrop for films like Stardust, War Horse, and Doctor Dolittle. Then Travel to the prehistoric circle of vast monoliths of Stonehenge at Salisbury Plain and learn about the primitive building methods used to create such an enduring monument, Stonehenge is one of the most popular prehistoric monuments in the world.
