Trip itinerary

Our first stop is Chatsworth, home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. Explore the magnificent building of Chatsworth House. Head out into the spectacular gardens and the iconic Cascade Fountain. Proceed to the walled City of York with its huge 13th-century Gothic cathedral York Minster. Walk around the old street of Shambles with overhanging timber-framed buildings. It has been described as the finest street in Europe, and was named 'Britain's Most Picturesque Street'. Overnight in York.

Discover the magnificent Durham Cathedral renowned for being one of the finest pieces of Norman architecture in the world. It was the filming location for Avengers & Harry Potter. Photo stop at the Angel of the North a contemporary sculpture, located in Gateshead, Next, we travel to Alnwick Castle, the home of the Duke of Northumberland and the second-largest inhabited castle in England. featured in many famous films and TV shows, including two Harry Potter films, Transformer & Downton Abbey. Overnight in Edinburgh.

Explore central Edinburgh, starting in the 200-year-old “New Town” with planned streets and elegant Georgian houses where many famous writers and inventors lived. See the Royal Mile with its narrow medieval houses, then tour Edinburgh Castle to see the Crown Jewels of Scotland and the Stone of Destiny. Views of the elegant Palace of Holyrood house, in the shadow of Arthur’s Seat, and the Scottish Parliament. Admire the elegant Georgian architecture in the New Town and amble through the hidden passages of the Old Town.

We head north to the medieval town of St. Andrews. Home of the oldest golf course in the world and commonly known as 'The Home of Golf'. Explore the remains of St. Andrews magnificent medieval cathedral. Visit Blair Athol Distillery stands at the gateway to the Scottish Highlands the source of water flows through the grounds from the slopes of Ben Vrackie, . then we continue our journey to Culloden Battlefield, explore the site where the Jacobites were defeated. Our last stop is Inverness, an ancient cathedral city in the Scottish Highlands. Overnight in Inverness.

Depart from Inverness, hugging the shoreline of Loch Ness to Invermoriston. Stop at Loch Ness which is 24 miles long, over 700ft deep and is most famous for its sightings of the Loch Ness monster. After Loch Ness, travel on to the picturesque Eilean Donan Castle. Continue your journey to the Isle of Skye, passing over the Skye Bridge and on to the small village of Portree. Moving on, see various points of interest in Skye including Kilt Rock, Lealt Falls, the Old Man of Storr and perhaps Strome Viewpoint. Continue homeward bound to Inverness, where your Isle of Skye day tour ends.

You are now heading to Glenfinnan Catch a glimpse of the Hogwarts Express seen in the Harry Potter movies. While in Glencoe, set in one of the most stunningly beautiful yet hauntingly emotive areas Glencoe is well known for the Massacre of the MacDonald Clan in 1692. Experience the Mountains, Lochs, and Glens of the beautiful Trossachs, and see Loch Lomond, considered by many to be the bonniest in Scotland. Overnight at city of Glasgow, one of Europe’s most vibrant and dynamic cities.

Travel across a stunning mountain road with a stop at Llyn Ogwen, a beautiful lake with amazing mountain views, Next Stop is Swallow Falls Waterfall & honeypot village of Betws-y-Coed. Finally, take the unique opportunity to experience the Pontcysyllte Canal Aqueduct, built by Sir Thomas Telford between 1795 and 1805. Head back to Liverpool and a possible photo stop at Chester town.

No trip to this village would be complete without a visit to the Gretna Green Famous Blacksmith Shop. It’s the site where couples have been coming to marry since the 1750s to take advantage of Scotland’s lenient marriage laws. Our second stop is Ullswater ‘Steamers’ England’s most beautiful lake. Cruises connect to some of the most famous and iconic walking routes in the UNESCO World Heitage site. Enjoy a nice lunch by the lake at Windermere England’s largest lake, We’ll then travel north to Liverpool, Birthplace of the Beatles andfamous British port city with a rich history.

First stop for the day is Bath – a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with gorgeous Georgian architecture and the famous Roman Baths, Bath Abbey & romantic Pulteney Bridge that gave the city its name. Next stop is the Castle Combe, England prettiest village, the village is been used as a backdrop for films like Stardust, War Horse, Doctor Do little and featured regularly as a film location, most recently in The Wolf Man, Stardust and Stephen Spielberg's War Horse. Then Travel to the prehistoric circle of vast monoliths of Stonehenge at Salisbury Plain and learn about the primitive building methods used to create such an enduring monument, Stonehenge is one of the most popular prehistoric monuments in the world.
